The sneakers first landed back in 1991 in the form of the Nike Air Huarache, that runner that was one of the earliest examples of Nike willfully creating a sneaker that was “stripped to the bare essentials”, as the vintage ad copy claims. That stripping also manifested in the branding used – Tinker and co. The Air Huarache has gone through some changes to adapt to new technologies, but it is still one of Nike’s best-selling designs. His bet included details of exoskeleton for a greater adjustment and the elimination of the classic swoosh.
